Eye Care

An eye is an organ of vision that detects light. Different kinds of light-sensitive organs are found in a variety of organisms. The simplest eyes do nothing but detect whether the surroundings are light or dark, while more complex eyes can distinguish shapes and colors. Many animals, including some mammals, birds, reptiles and fish, have two eyes whose fields of vision largely overlap, to allow better depth perception (binocular vision), as in humans; and others are placed so as to minimize the overlap, such as in rabbits and chameleons.

Best Lutein

Lutein (LOO-teen) (from Latin lutea meaning "yellow") is one of over 600 known naturally occurring carotenoids. Found in green leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale, lutein is employed by organisms as an antioxidant and for blue light absorption. Lutein is covalently bound to one or more fatty acids present in some fruits and flowers, notably marigolds (Tagetes).

Best Lutein features Biolutä Marigold extract, a potent source of lutein standardized to contain 90% lutein esters, equivalent to 45% free lutein. Marigold flowers are the most abundant source of lutein in nature. The esterified lutein in Biolutä Marigold extract is easy to absorb and highly bioavailable. Each capsule provides 20 mg of free lutein.
